We apply local anaesthetic to the area of the affected tooth to ensure that the procedure is painless and comfortable for the child. We place a rubber dam around the tooth to keep it dry and free of saliva, ensuring a clean and safe environment during treatment.
We carefully remove infected tissue from the dental pulp using specialised instruments. We then disinfect the canals of the tooth to remove bacteria and prevent future infection. This step is essential to stop the infection and prepare the tooth for restoration.
Once the inside of the tooth is clean and disinfected, we fill it with a biocompatible material to protect the roots of the baby tooth. We then seal the tooth to completely isolate it. Depending on the extent of the damage, we restore the tooth with a filling or place a paediatric crown, thus restoring its functionality and natural appearance.
