What is PADI?
PADI is a free oral health prevention programme aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 15, who will benefit in a staggered manner.
The main objective of this service is to educate children and young people in proper hygienic habits that will guarantee them a healthy adult mouth. In addition, assistance coverage is offered for certain problems.
What free services and treatments does PADI include?
More than 1000 ARC Dental patients benefit from this prevention programme. PADI oral care includes the following actions:
- An annual oral health check-up from the year the child turns 6 years old until the age of 15. It also includes oral care treatments such as sealing of fissures or pits, fillings in teeth in which caries is detected, fluoridation or endodontics, extractions of temporary teeth (milk teeth) and other treatments of dental injuries caused by trauma.
- Special treatments to care for or alleviate malformations and/or traumatisms in the permanent dentition that must be authorised beforehand by the Health Care Director of the Health Service or be communicated by means of a clinical report from the dentist of the need and, where applicable, the urgency of the intervention (e.g. the fitting of a crown or space maintainer).
