What is rhinomodelling without surgery?
Rhinomodelling with hyaluronic acid, unlike rhinoplasty, consists of a non-invasive treatment that, through the infiltration of hyaluronic acid, manages to reshape and redefine the contour of the nose. This material makes it possible to modify and correct small imperfections and improve the projection of the nose without resorting to surgery, obtaining great results in the correction of small deformities and asymmetries.
Although rhinomodelling does not treat functional problems, only aesthetic ones, it is the right option for those who would like a more symmetrical and aesthetic nose, i.e. who wish to correct small defects in shape and contour. Thanks to the microinjections of hyaluronic acid applied to the dorsum and tip, it is possible to achieve the desired aesthetic results, depending on the specialist’s recommendations.
Specifically, rhinomodelling makes it possible to correct slight irregularities, asymmetries in the nasal tip, as well as the sinking of the root, among other defects. This treatment, since it is not surgery, cannot reduce the size of the nose, but it can redefine it in such a way that it is harmonious with the rest of the face, so that it is visually symmetrical and perfected.
How is rhinomodelling with hyaluronic acid performed?
Prior to the intervention, the specialist will carry out some studies of the anatomy and facial structure to determine the best points where the microinjections should be performed to ensure a very precise deposit of the material in the areas that have been diagnosed to correct the appearance of the nose.
On the day of the intervention, the specialist will apply local anaesthesia to mitigate the discomfort that the microinjections may cause. This makes it a completely safe and painless treatment that achieves a visible result after approximately 30 minutes of the application of the filler material. It is worth mentioning that anti-inflammatory drugs should be avoided 3 days before the infiltration.
Two weeks after the procedure, the treatment should be reviewed. Subsequently, as the results are not permanent, annual check-ups are recommended and the treatment should be repeated once the material has been reabsorbed, generally every 18 months or two years depending on each patient.
After treatment, it is essential to follow the care recommendations given by the specialist. It is necessary to avoid wearing glasses for 24 hours after each session, avoid heat sources (saunas or very hot showers), do not expose yourself to the sun or UVA rays and do not touch the treated area intensely (applying massage or make-up) for the following 72 hours.
