Beginnings
The history of the Udemax Group’s dental clinics began in 1976, with the opening of the Emardental clinic. Its founder, Dr. Emilio Martínez-Almoyna Rullán – until then a surgeon at the former Son Dureta hospital and one of the pioneers of the current Maxillofacial Surgery service at Son Espases – thus began his own path towards excellence, also practising stomatology in the private sector. At that time, Dr. Martínez-Almoyna Rullán was one of the few maxillofacial surgeons and dentists in the city of Palma.
Faced with the growth in the number of patients and the impossibility of attending to them according to their needs, in 1999 we opened the Udemax clinic, located in the outpatients’ consulting rooms of the Miramar Polyclinic. With its opening, we were pioneers in having a multidisciplinary dental centre, where all the dental specialities coexisted…
Growth
In 2005 Arcdental, the third of the Udemax Group clinics, specialising in children’s dentistry, was born. Our aim was to create a space dedicated exclusively to children and their specific needs, not only on a medical level but also on a personal level.
We are proud to say that we have always had the intuition and energy to move forward and improve our services. In the 80’s we were pioneers in dental implants in Mallorca, betting on new technologies and materials, moving away from traditional removable dentures. Since then, we have not ceased to nurture the illusion of offering the best care to our patients and incorporating the latest technologies and materials to our clinics.
Consolidation
Currently, Dr. Emilio Martínez-Almoyna Rifá and Dr. Cristina Martínez-Almoyna Rifá lead the Udemax Group clinics with the same drive, vision and energy with which their father started this adventure. With more than 40 years of experience, our motivation remains intact: to help our patients feel comfortable in their own skin, especially with their smile and their oral health.
