Anterior composites course. Simplified technique.

Last Friday, Dr. Patricia Jorro and Dr. José Antonio Gramalles attended a course called ‘Anterior Composites. Simplified layering technique‘.

Let’s start at the beginning, what are dental composites?

Very simple. They are the most widely used dental materials nowadays, both for aesthetic reconstructions and for fillings or obturations.

Well, we attended the course given by Fernando Autran to learn how to solve clinical situations of various kinds, from the most serious to the simplest, thanks to the treatments that the different stratified techniques and current composites allow us to do.

The aim of the course was to introduce us to layering techniques and learn why and how to use different opacities and different types of composites to achieve predictable aesthetic results in both colour and texture. How to create a natural effect? How to reproduce an incisal edge of a central tooth with its special colour characteristics? How to achieve a texture similar to that of the natural tooth?

Well, after a few intense and very very profitable hours we can say that: GOAL ACCOMPLISHED.

Doctors Jorro and Gramalles are already burning with the desire to put everything they have learnt into practice.
